This DIY skatepark located in the Frankford section of Northeast Philadelphia has been a popular park in the Philly area over the last 20 years. It’s the result of various phases of construction that added new elements over many years. In 2019, the park got a considerable upgrade thanks to some generous funding from Vans, support from Philadelphia Parks & Recreation and Carmella Playground Recreation Center, and the skilled design and labor of 5th Pocket Design.
The park now features a variety of modern cement skatepark elements including quarterpipe, spine, hubba, and rails. All this added to the existing features and you’ve got a top-notch park for skaters of all ages and skill levels. A true asset to the neighborhood.
